Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung - Director of Long An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said this is a program in the overall project of applying information technology in the field of tourism in the period of 2018-2020, with the orientation to the year. 2025 has been approved by the Government before.

"It is expected that the trial period of this application will last about 6 months, in order to receive more comments from visitors and users of the portal to put it into stable and official use," Mr. Dung said.

With 114 historical-cultural relics, over 200 festivals, and many typical beauty spots of the West, Long An is considered a "tourist dragon" at the gateway of the Mekong Delta, having an important strategic position in tourism development but not yet fully exploited. In recent years, the province has had many investment policies, called for investment, promoted tourism, and launched many programs to make a breakthrough for the tourism industry.

From 2016 to 2019, the number of tourists to Long An has nearly doubled from less than 1 million to over 1.8 million. This figure is still determined to be very modest compared to the local tourism potential.
